In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

It is the source of deepest joy for me to offer the Pontifical Mass at the Altar of the Chair of Saint Peter as the culmination of the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage of 2025. In the name of all present, I express heartfelt gratitude to those who have labored so diligently and well to make possible the Pilgrimage. I am offering the Holy Mass for the faithful in the Church throughout the world, who labor to safeguard and promote the beauty of the Usus Antiquior of the Roman Rite. May today’s offering of the Pontifical Mass encourage and strengthen us all in love of our Eucharistic Lord Who, through Apostolic Tradition and with unfailing and immeasurable love for us, renews sacramentally His Sacrifice on Calvary and nourishes us with the incomparable fruit of His Sacrifice: the Heavenly Food of His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

 In 2024, the Traditional pilgrims of the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage (Last Sunday in October - Christ the King) were not allowed to celebrate the Traditional Mass on an altar of the main nave on Saturday of the last weekend in October: they just entered as pilgrims, with scheduled prayers, but the main masses were all in Churches that already have the Traditional Latin Mass regularly in Rome. The same had happened in 2022 and 2023.

Solemn Traditional Vespers at the Pantheon led by Cardinal Zuppi - #SumPont2022

Cardinal Zuppi, Abp. of Bologna, President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, led Traditional Vespers at the oldest standing religious building in Rome, the Pantheon (Sancta Maria ad Martyres), on this first day of the 2022 Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage to Rome:

The Church, which, as a main publicly owned tourist website, remains open for visitation during ceremonies had its seats filled with lay faithful, mostly young, and young priests. Fr. Claude Barthe, chaplain of the pilgrimage, made a brief pronouncement, and so did Cardinal Zuppi, joyfully welcoming the traditional pilgrims to the Eternal City.

[Rome, October 30, 2021:] Traditionalist Catholics descended on Rome on Friday for their annual pilgrimage, hoping to show the vibrancy of their community after Pope Francis issued a crackdown on the spread of the old Latin Mass that many took as an attack on them and the ancient rite.

An evening vespers service at Rome’s Pantheon basilica, the first event of the three-day pilgrimage, was so full that ushers had to add two rows of chairs to accommodate the faithful. Many young families, couples and priests filled the pews, hailing from the U.S., France, Spain and beyond.

High Mass in DC basilica shrine Saturday

There will be a High Mass offered in the crypt church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception this Saturday, 1 June, at 5:30 p.m.

The Mass will conclude the annual three-day pilgrimage, organized and led by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, "to do penance for our sins and for the sins of our nation."  Named after its founder, Father James Buckley, FSSP, the "Buckley March" has concluded at the basilica shrine in D.C. for over a decade, with photos of some past years here and here.

Saturday's Mass will be a votive of the Immaculate Conception during paschaltide, as permitted in the shrine so-named. The celebrant (and chaplain for the pilgrimage) will be Father David Franco, who began offering the annual High Mass at the basilica shrine immediately after his ordination in 2015 (relieving Father Buckley).  Gregorian chant propers will be sung by the men's schola of Saint Mary Mother of God church, and a polyphonic choir from the region will sing Hassler's "Missa Secunda" as the ordinary of the Mass and motets such as Asola's "Ave Maris Stella" and L'Heritier's "Ave Maria." 

Purgatorial Society Mass in Livorno, Italy

We currently have 88 fine priests saying regular traditional Latin Masses for the millions of souls enrolled in the Rorate Caeli Purgatorial Society. While most priests understandably wish to remain anonymous, we always offer our priests the ability to take photos of them saying Masses for the poor souls.

Event: The Pilgrimage for Restoration, Sept. 29-Oct. 1

The Pilgrimage for Restoration,  a traditional walking pilgrimage, is set to take place this year September 29-October 1. The pilgrimage route goes from the Lake of the Blessed Sacrament at Lake George Village, NY, to the Shrine of the North American Martyrs at Auriesville, NY.

In its twenty-second year, the annual pilgrimage is a journey of the faithful to the place in “New France” where Saints Isaac Jogues, René Goupîl, John LaLande and numerous Native American Converts were martyred more than 375 years ago. It is conducted in honor of Christ Our King, for the restoration of new Christendom, and in reparation for sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The 14th annual Marie Reine du Canada pilgrimage from Lanoraie, Quebec to the miraculous shrine of Notre Dame du Cap, will take place September 2-4, 2017. Pilgrims from Ontario, Quebec and the United States are served en route by priests of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP). Mass is celebrated daily in Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.
