Rorate Caeli

Regem Martyrum Dominum, venite adoremus

Thank you, dear Muslims, for more martyrs who will intercede for us in heaven, where they are with God Incarnate.

From The Wall Street Journal (and other sources), in the spirit of the Child Jesus, who was natus ad hoc, that is, to die for us:
DECEMBER 25, 2011
LAGOS, Nigeria — An explosion ripped through a Catholic church during Christmas Mass near Nigeria's capital Sunday, killing at least 25 people, officials said. A radical Muslim sect waging an increasingly sophisticated sectarian fight claimed the attack and another bombing in the restive city of Jos, as explosions also struck the nation's northeast.

The Christmas Day attacks show the growing national ambition of the sect known as Boko Haram, which is responsible for at least 491 killings this year alone, according to an Associated Press count. The assaults come a year after a series of Christmas Eve bombings ... .

Let us pray for the wounded and for the families of the deceased: Omnes sancti martyres, orate pro nobis.

  1. The Daily Telegraph only the other day posted an interesting piece on the "silence" of the "West" regarding this ongoing persecution.

  2. Velasio Cardinal DePaolis said once, "Enough of this turning the other cheek, we have a duty to defend ourselves." The Church needs Clovis and his Franks as well as martyrs.

Best to all for a Merry Christmas.

  3. When Holy Mother Church is under attack there is one thing that must be done; The Pope must rush to The Blue Mosque and apologise for The Crusades.

The Mahometans who did this have not one bit of an obligation to apologise for this act because Allah commands them to kill us.

That is, the ones who martyred these most recent Catholics are the Mahometans who are most faithful in actualising the commands of Allah as recorded in their "holy" book.

This latest attack by The Mahometans reminds us of the Dec 25 attack during the reign of Diocletian in 303 A.D. when several thousand Catholics were burned alive in a Basilica because they refused to offer incense and worship to Jupiter.

As to the claim that we worship the same God as do the Mahometans, will a body in the Hierarchy pick-up the crummy Koran and read it; in their book Allah tells them they do not worship the God we Catholics worship - and, of course, their God tells Mahometans to kill us, so, we got that going for us, which is nice.

Mahommedanism has always been a scourge for mankind.

  5. Dominus dixit ad me: Fílius meus es tu, ego hódie génui te. Quare fremuérunt gentes: et pópuli meditáti sunt inánia?

  6. St. Nick8:12 PM

In addition to offering your prayers for the victims of this outrage, please consider supporting the FSSP mission in Nigeria.

  7. I agree with the sentiments of Cardinal DePaolis. Enough is enough.

It is time we fought back...what of Pope St Pius V, and Lepanto [think I have the correct Pope]...why should we be battered left, right and centre? It's not just murders of innocents, it's the scared-ness and lack of fight for keeping our Holy Faith in Christian Lands, and allowing for Islam to take over, with more allowances for them and less for Our Faith...where do we go from here? Is this what Our Lady foretold at Fatima, La Salette, Garabandal etc...???!!!

If we sit back and allow it to happen...what next...???!!!

I don't have solutions, but we need a battle cry and someone needs to take the reins and take control, poor Holy Father Benedict is not strong enough in any sense...

Lord, please guide and protect Thy Holy Church into action to stop our adversaries. Amen.

"The Church needs Clovis and his Franks as well as martyrs."

Well said by the Cardinal. Eventually the tiger is going to get tired of having his tail twisted and that means someone is going to get bitten.

    Montjoie! Saint Denis!

  10. "They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them." (Qu'ran, 5:73)

I guess the "penalty" for some Catholics in Nigeria was death.

  11. Actually I added the part about Clovis but I presume the Cardinal would agree with me.

This year it was Nigeria, the year before Egypt, before that Irak and Pakistan. Muslims are dangerous to Catholics. They do not have any shame for their murderous acts.

  13. Peterman6:08 PM

Correction then, well said by Woody.

The Christmas Bomber was also a Nigerian with explosive underpants. Last year they also bombed a Church during Midnight Mass in Nigeria. The Nigerian al-Quaeda affiliated group has a name implying that Western education is bad.

I had the pleasure of dining with four Nigerian Bishops about a year ago. They said that the best thing we could do was to send them teachers.
