Contemporary Catholic Art: The Remarkable New Paintings by Clemens Fuchs for the Remodeling of the Chapel of the True Cross (Heiligenkreuz, Austria) - Video

From the website of the Holy Cross Abbey, Austria:

In 1980, 43 years ago, the Church of the Holy Cross was built and became the center of our parish of Heiligenkreuz. It is also the sanctuary of the relic of the  True Cross, from which many worshippers and pilgrims draw comfort, strength and new hope. This long time does not leave a church unscathed, meaning that maintenance and renewal measures are now necessary. Fr. Severin Wurdack OCist († 2021) was already thinking about how to improve the popular church structurally and artistically. For a first meeting for this purpose Abbot Maximilian, Abbot Gerhard, Parish Priest Fr. Severin and Fr. Moses had come together with the artist and painter Clemens Maria Fuchs [born in 1982] on November 27, 2019. This was the beginning, a first step on the way to an even more beautiful Kreuzkirche!

The early passing of Fr. Severin, the collegiate pastor, was a great sorrow for the entire parish. His successor Fr. Thomas Maria Margreiter took over the project of the deceased. Now we are looking forward to the great celebration of the reopening on September 17, 2023. The Church of the Holy Cross will be a magnificent jewel to the glory of God! (Source)
