2. Dr. Rudolph Masciantonio (Philadelphia Chapter, Latin Liturgy Association, Inc.) has sent Rorate the following message:
Through the efforts of John Rotundi, Fr.Robert C. Pasley, KHS, David Smith and others the Confraternity of St. Benedict has been founded recently with a chapter at Mater Ecclesiae Church in Berlin, New Jersey, Diocese of Camden. This Confraternity is a private association of Catholic faithful for praying the Divine Office. Its foundation is a very promising development for traditional Catholics and traditional Latin liturgy everywhere.
The Confraternity has already arranged for public Compline and Vespers on occasion at Mater Ecclesiae and is working to enhance participation in the Office of Tenebrae for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday to be celebrated there. (The schedule of the chanting of the Office by the Confraternity can be found here)
For details on the Confraternity including the Ordo for public Compline at Mater Ecclesiae please see the detailed website at the following URL: www.sbconfraternity.org
