Victoria 400 - Victoria Requiem in Chicago

A dear reader sends us the news that Victoria's Requiem will be sung by the Chicago Chorale at a Requiem Mass at the Shrine of Christ the King in Chicago. It will be this coming Saturday (March 26) at 1:00 PM.

This year marks the 400th anniversary of the death of Father Tomás Luis de Victoria.

It is one of the finest Masses to hear.

One has to wonder if what remains of the Society of Jesus in our time could have ever been imagined by Victoria, who was schooled by Roman Jesuits. The eloquence of such an idea is itself surely tantamount to an answer. Friends in London tell me St. James, Spanish Place is singing Victoria's mass settings in their proper liturgical context through this year. Lucky you, if you live in London!

I´m sorry about writing this here, but I don´t know where to go to fix this.

In the list of TLM at Brussels that you can find in wikkimissa here:

there is a terrible mistake about the "Paroisse Saints-Jean-et-Étienne aux Minimes". The mass is not at 9, is at 11:30, and is not TLM, is new mass with parts in latin, and it includes a lot of the common abuses of the new mass, including an altar girl messing with the tabernacle, the chalice and the Hosts.

I had a terrible time there, someone has to fix wikkimissa to remove this mass so no one else has to suffer the terrible spectable.

Thanks and sorry again about the offtopic.

You should have visited their website; it is clear there that on March 20 (and in other 3 Sundays in the year), the FSSP Mass would be at 5:30 PM:

The regular Sunday Mass is still at 9AM.
