Ordinations in Wigratzbad - Photos

Jean-Pierre Cardinal Ricard, Archbishop of Bordeaux, ordained three new priests for the FSSP on July 2, 2011 in Wigratzbad. Photos of the ceremony are now available on the FSSP's central website.

A little more than a month before this ceremony, Msgr. Marc Aillet, Bishop of Bayonne, ordained four new deacons for the same society, raising the number of FSSP deacons ordained this year to nine. (Five were ordained earlier this year by Bishop Czeslaw Kozon of Copenhagen, Denmark.)

(A question for our readers: Cardinal Ricard had conferred confirmations according to the traditional rite at least 3 times, but was this the first time that he offered a Solemn Pontifical Mass?)

Hopefully, by the grace of God, next year those deacons will no longer be serving as deacons...because I pray they will all become holy priests!
