Rorate Caeli

Comments - registered

You may have noticed we have, for the moment at least, limited the posting of comments exclusively to those registered readers - registered, that is, in any number of identification systems accepted by Blogger, including any Google account, LiveJournal, Typepad, Wordpress, AIM. Naturally, this still means you may use any pseudonym you like. And, on the other hand, word verification is off.

The main reason for this is that, because of the huge number of comments we had been receiving lately (hundreds daily), the moderators had not been able to exercise reasonable and timely control, and many unworthy comments ended up being approved, and good comments ended up being deleted by accident. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will see how this works in the next few days.

  1. Good. I think sometimes some of the commentators give you all a bad name! I also think that if New Catholic came out and just identified himself would be a positive. That's all. I really enjoy your blog and think your analysis and postings are just top notch. Carry on!

  5. Word identification wasn't functioning, at least for me, on more than one occasion, so I'm glad that is gone. Thanks.

  6. It's okay.
    No hard feelings.
I'm glad you did away with verification.

  7. Thanks for all you do. Stay strong, you will finish the race you will keep the faith and help many keep it as well. And in the end New Catholic, you will hear those words we so long for... " Well done my good and faithful servant". Do not be discouraged by the hatred some of your fellow Catholic Bloggers like Mark Shea, Simca Fisher etc and a certain priest are displaying, shame on them. I was brought to this site because their nastiness and persecution could only mean there was something good here in Rorate Caeli. I am not yet very familiar with your site, but I have liked what I have seen so far. And the other blogs will be deleted and forgotten by many, as it was obvious from much hatred they harbour that they should be avoided. It is unacceptable how their vicious words try to bring division and anger to the hearts of the faithful.

I would be proud to be insulted by Mark Shea. Actually, I consider myself virtually insulted by him even if - AFAIK - he never did so in actual fact. I'd say I am insulted in potency, but not in act.

I think it's very salutary to be insulted by Mark Shea.

If one isn't - or wouldn't be - insulted by Mark Shea one is probably not doing things properly.

On a different note, the verification code with the letters impossible to read are a scourge of our time.
