The Holy Father has accepted the resignation, presented due to age limit, of the Eminent Card. James Francis Stafford, from the post of Major Penitentiary, and has named to the same post His Excellency Abp. Fortunato Baldelli, Tit. Archbishop of Bevagna, up to now Apostolic Nuncio in France.
