A Brazilian friend informs us that, starting September 19, a regularly-scheduled, every-Sunday Traditional Latin Mass under diocesan auspices will be available once more in the Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro. The site of the Mass will be no less than the Old Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro, dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and formerly the chapel of the Brazilian imperial family. Furthermore, the Mass will be offered at 9:00 A.M.
The every-Sunday Mass will be entrusted to the priests of the Apostolic Administration of St. John Vianney in Campos, and it will be inaugurated with a Pontifical Mass offered by Bishop Fernando Rifan.
