I've been in politics a long time. Never seen a "stop leaking" meeting. It would have leaked if so ;)

Or maybe it's to replace Levada with Pell. No, because Pell has not been well.

By the way, there was not even one episcopal appointment for the entire week. The Pope is clearly preoccupied. Ouellet's presence in this audience might lead to some more appointments. I expect that they will soon announce what has been true since 4th April: they've raised the retirment age to 78.

Perhaps it was about CIC 332.2

@PKTP:

You keep mentioning that the pope hasn't made any episcopal appointments in the past week.

How many does he usually make per week? How many per year?

Time is of the essence. Again is the revealed the need for focused prayer and complete docility to the Will of the Holy Trinity for ALL of us as we DO the penance of our duty of state.

So much hinges on the doing of the little things of life - with Charity - to the best of our ability.

While urgently praying that the Holy Father would be illuminated and strengthened for the precise performance of his duty of state in order that the Will of Our Father is accomplished in his life, may we not be hypocrites in our own lives.

Saints Peter and Paul. . ."orate pro nobis"!

Pell! Well in his own words "I am very new Church". He doesnt like the Extraordinary Form and finds the new more prayerful!! He had done little over clerical abuse...using Canon Law Courts to remove clerics is unknown in Australia. For him the faith is a catechism one recites like a parrot. He doesn't believe the words and he puts pressure on young priests not to introduce the EF into parishes.

The resignation of Andre Richard, Archbishop of Brunswick, was accepted on June 15. He's only 75. On the same day Bp. Guy-Claude Bagnard of Belley-Ars also retired, at the same age. And before that, on June 6, Bishop Gironimo Zanandrea retired at the age of 76.

There were others.
