Mass is running long but very nice. They have a way of solemning-up Missa Cantatas here. Wonderful sermon.
Is ir Fr Miara? [spelling]
Also are they doing work in Holy Innocents?
Not sure his name but he sounded British. Lots of work, especially giving the fresco from 1870 a face lift.
Looks like they got rid of the table?
Hopfully so.
Holy Innocents has a great pastor!
The priest is the Rev'd Father Justin Wylie, B.A., Ll.B., Ll.M., Ph.B., ST.B., Attaché of the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations. Fr Wylie is a frequent visitor to Holy Innocents and is a native of South Africa.
Hasn't been a table in years.
Adfero
That is great hear!
I was there two years ago and there was a forward table then.
Its good to hear they got rid of it and offer all Mass Ad Orientem.
I can't attest to what happens at the NO, as i would never attend. I just know there's no permanent harvest table.
Yeah
They probably got rid of it alltogether because from what I recall it was big marble piece, probably 1000 or more pounds, not ugly but not the altar.
As far as I know, Holy Innocents still uses a free standing altar, but it's moved to the side of the sanctuary for Masses like this one. It's not real marble.
Slowly but surely, the True Mass is coming back all over the USA and the world. Even here in MA, the Benedictines of the St. Benedict center along with the SSPX (in the Boston area) and even many diocesian TLM are very popular. I wish the FSSP were more influential here in Southern New England, they needed badly.
Praise be to God!!!
Adfero said, "Lots of work, especially giving the fresco from 1870 a face lift."
Oh, okay. I was wondering what all the tenting was about.

Depends all on the bishop.
