Rorate to Cover the Conclave

The Vatican Press Office today confirmed Rorate Caeli will be officially credentialed to cover the upcoming conclave. Our correspondent, the well-respected and prolific Dr. John Rao, will be in Rome reporting and offering on-the-ground analysis for our readers.

We thank the Holy See for granting this access and continuing Benedict XVI's work of reaching out to those working in new media and our Catholic readers who rely on our information.

This is a real victory for the traditionalist "new media", and I have nothing but profound admiration for New Catholic and all the contributors at Rorate Cœli. Thank you so much!

Wonderful!

May God bless you for all the hard work that lead to this approval and may He richly bless your efforts during the conclave!

The staunchly orthodox perspective of this blog will be of tremendous benefit during the conclave.

I sincerely hope Cardinal Mahony's "mood of excitement" that "prevails among Cardinals" is nothing like the one that prevailed around 1963.
