Rorate Caeli

A thousand graces diffusing

Luca della Robbia, Resurrection
(Basilica-Metropolitan Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence)
Mil gracias derramando
pasó por estos sotos con presura,
e, yéndolos mirando,
con sola su figura
vestidos los dejó de su hermosura.
A thousand graces diffusing,
He passed through the groves in haste,
And regarding them as he passed,
With his mere presence,
He clothed them with his beauty.
Saint John of the Cross
Spiritual Canticle (Cántico Espiritual)

[Personal recess for an indefinite time. A happy Paschaltide to all.]

Beautiful passage and accompanying image.

I wish that VC II would have focused on the teaching of John of the Cross and Teresa of Avila to renew the Church, rather than all that open the windows and dialogue with the world nonsense.

Of course, we kknow that when the mystics talk of renewal they signify a renaissance of the interior life of Faith. This has been totally destroyed by the post-conciliar assemblies and the entertainment imperative of modernist liturgy.
