Dear readers:
At least for the near future, we are closing all comments on this blog.
Moderating so many comments is becoming close to impossible at this point -- we simply cannot keep up with an international readership commenting around the clock. It's a good price to pay, because it stems from the exponential growth of our readership. But it's a very difficult decision to make, nonetheless.

It's a good price to pay, because it stems from the exponential growth of our readership. But it's a very difficult decision to make, nonetheless.
Unfortunately, we cannot keep comments open and not moderated. Yes, from time to time, tired and weary moderators do let some go through we wish we didn't as there were many in the queue and we didn't have time to read them all. But, for the most part, we do well keeping the more eccentric ones out (and trust us, there are many of them!)
Also unfortunate is that many of our readers believe the comments after our posts represent the beliefs of the contributors. While that is incorrect in many cases, perception is reality, so comments either must be moderated or closed down completely.
We will still, as always, work to bring you the latest news and analysis you've come to rely on from Rorate. For now, we just won't have comments, at least for a while.
Thank you for your patience and your loyalty. Please pray for us, and for the future success of this blog and for our readers, whom we the contributors of Rorate love and appreciate deeply.
