Thank you!
A warning and a pre-preparation the persecution that is soon to follow, as in the many smaller revolutions of the past this shows the mind of a number of the young generation, the prerevolutionary zeal for absolute change, despising authority, and a fierce cold hatred for the Church and for God.
ReplyDeleteWhen the economies crash, that is when it will begin.
Let us pray to the Lord for strength and vigilance.
Gaudete in Die Natalis Domini nostri Jesu Christi, cuius est laus, honor et gloria per omnia saecula saeculorum.
Another indication that cultural Marxism is on the rise. Religious symbols are a classic target of Marxists. This is worse than mere secularism.
ReplyDeleteAs in Rome the society and the hierarchy will assume airy indifference. Maybe in the best case the red-jesuit cardinal Bergoglio will ask for "respect for the feelings of believers" but of course avering to "share the upset of the overwhelming peaceful protesters with their legitimate demands".
ReplyDeletePersonally I am not not in the least surprised by this sacrliges. Unrestricted freedom and avarice of the masses leads to this anarchical conditions. It is always easy to blame "bankers", "the church", "capital markets", "proprietary classes"...
One of our SSPX priests vacationed in Rome recently, and was warned by some locals not to wear his collar. He did anyway - he was spat upon and cursed several times. In Rome!
ReplyDeleteArgentina was a Catholic country not so long ago. When General Peron burned Churches in the 1950s his fate was sealed. Things change. Cardinal Bergoglio, runner-up in the last Conclave rides the bus to work, but will not allow a single every-Sunday Traditional Mass in his Archdiocese.
ReplyDeleteThe Marxists are making a new push in our times. Restoring the Tradtional Catholic Faith is an effective way of resisting. We can expect to be persecuted.
As I in hoary winter's night stood shivering in the snow,
ReplyDeleteSurprised I was with sudden heat which made my heart to glow ;
And lifting up a fearful eye to view what fire was near,
A pretty babe all burning bright did in the air appear ;
Who, scorchëd with excessive heat, such floods of tears did shed
As though his floods should quench his flames which with his tears were fed.
Alas, quoth he, but newly born in fiery heats I fry,
Yet none approach to warm their hearts or feel my fire but I !
My faultless breast the furnace is, the fuel wounding thorns,
Love is the fire, and sighs the smoke, the ashes shame and scorns ;
The fuel justice layeth on, and mercy blows the coals,
The metal in this furnace wrought are men's defilëd souls,
For which, as now on fire I am to work them to their good,
So will I melt into a bath to wash them in my blood.
With this he vanished out of sight and swiftly shrunk away,
And straight I callëd unto mind that it was Christmas day.
~St. Robert Southwell, "The Burning Babe"
This is all I can think of... no further comment.
Who will make reparation for this?
ReplyDeleteWith the grace of God, I will do my part.
Sigmore, now that is poetry I can understand!
ReplyDeleteGod reward you for posting it.
May God have mercy on them.
ReplyDeleteWhat are these people thinking??
If in instead of burning the Nativity scene and the Christmas tree they would have taken the time for adoration they would probably have felt better about the world we live in.
My family and I (6 total) will do a Rosary of Reparation for this horrible act tomorrow. JMJ
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noel mes amis.
ReplyDeleteThe marxists, fascists, anarchists, and militant athiests are having and will have their days ahead but they will be cut short by chastisement and the coming of the age of peace or the age of Mary.
In hoc signo vinces. Deo Gratias.
REVOLUTION
ReplyDeleteThe Revolution
For all men’s rights
Guillotined the Carmelite
The Revolution
The Church did smite
Guillotined the Carmelite
The Revolution
The Catholic blight
Guillotined the Carmelite
The Revolution
The lady’s knight
Guillotined the Carmelite
The Revolution
Fraternal might
Guillotined the Carmelite
But the Carmel's blood
Nursed a Bishop the world shuns --
Whose sons now guillotine all revolutions!
Infidels have damaged the door of the Liberian Basilica:
