We have the Traditional Tridentine Mass EVERY day at St. Mary's Assumption in St. Louis, MO. On the Feast of the Assumption it will be confected at 8:00 and 10:00 in the morning. This has been going on since the SSPX founded our Church & Academy over 30 years ago. In other words TRADITION, yesterday, today and for tomorrow! Deo Gratias!

Also, you may want to post the following announcement: beginning September 6th, there will be a traditional high Mass at 9:15am, every Sunday, at Five Wounds Portuguese National Shrine in San Jose, CA. This is quite an astonishing feat indeed.

Cn. Jean-Marie Moreau (ICKSP) will be the celebrant.

Perhaps if we go to an SSPX chapel instead of another church we will receive the inspiration that Long-Skirts does for that magnificent poetry.

Mr. Palad, is this Mass on Aug. 15 a new TLM place in Metro Manila? In the same diocese of Cubao, I gather that Fr. Jojo, of the Parish of Divine Mercy, is having a difficult time with the local ordinary, Bishop Ongtioco, so I just wondered if there was another TLM parish popping up in the same diocese?

Stephane:

No, this is a one-time thing in Greenmeadows. The priest who will offer this Mass, Fr. Cesar Salomon, is the regular celebrant of the Sunday TLM in St. Therese Shrine in Pasay. At present, no other parish in Cubao seems to be interested in the TLM.

Fr. Jojo is having some problems but the TLM in his parish is not under any serious threat as of the moment.

Incidentally, Fr. Timoteo Ofrasio SJ, professor of liturgy in Loyola House in Ateneo and former member of ICEL, now offers the TLM early in the morning from Monday to Friday at the Jesuit residence in Loyola, which is within the Diocese of Cubao.

I can't imagine that this is relevant for many people, but anyway: Fr. Joseph Bisig FSSP is visiting Denmark these days and will be offering the following Masses in Copenhagen:

- A sung Mass for the Feast of the Assumption, 12:30 at St. Andrew's Church, August 15th. A picnic will be arranged following the Mass.

Address: Kollegievej 2, 2920 Charlottenlund

- A sung Mass for the 11th Sunday after Pentecost, 18:00 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, August 16th. (This is a regularly scheduled Mass.)

Address: Stenosgade 4, 1616 Copenhagen V

This is all very good, both in the Philippines and in the U.S.A. However, what is needed are every-Sunday Traditional Latin Masses in sees which currently don't have them. These would be the great majority in the Philippines. In the U.S.A., they are the same old culprits: Las Vegas, Saginaw, Winona, New Ulm, Las Cruces, &c.

We are treading water here.

No. It was discontinued on the very first anniversary of its existence.

There will be a High Mass at the chapel of the Imperial Brotherhood of "Nossa Senhora da Glória do Outeiro" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, next Saturday, August 15th, on the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Said chapel has the rank of "National Basilica of the Assumption" by decree of the late Pope Pius XII of blessed and glorious memory; so the date is very meaningful also because of the connection of the church in question with the mystery of the Assumption.

Fr. Edilson (of the Personal Apostolic Administration St. John Mary Vianney in Campos) will be the celebrant.

I've been trying to update the Philippine entry but I keep getting "error" messages.

I am all for the TLM and don't partake of the NO. However I found this video about a Eucharistic miracle in the NO. I submit it for those who doubt whether the NO consecration is real.
