For the record: A possibility that perhaps this one day could eventually happen

Yes, we were aware of it, but thanks nonetheless to those who have pointed us to the indications that Andrea Tornielli has written, in his column in the current issue of Spanish monthly Palabra, that "there is a possibility that the Pope will propose a canonical solution that allows for the Fraternity of Saint Pius X to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church, through the establishment of an Ordinariate". (Source: Religión Digital)  We will keep this here for our own future record.

It is not that the information is not possible, or even probable - it may well be, but the way in which it is written is one that is quite malleable. For instance, let us suppose that we state that "there is a possibility that the Pope may formally declare Our Lady Co-Redemptrix". Yes, the possibility certainly does exist; it could happen, the Pope would in theory be able to do this. The fact that (1) no certainty is given, but the mere faculty of the Supreme Authority is ascertained, and (2) the fact that no timetable is given... these facts cannot be overlooked in the interpretation of this rumor - it is indeed what separates a solid rumor (yes, these do exist, as solid leads in investigations) from a mere description of what could theoretically happen based on undeniable facts of law and authority.
