SSPX prayer request

We happily join this prayer request put forward by the United States District of the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX):
10-4-2011
As announced by DICI, the Superior General, Bishop Fellay, has called all of the SSPX's superiors to a special meeting at the Society's house in Albano, near Rome.

This meeting is important for the future of the entire Church, and because its main session will take place on October 7th (the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary), the United States District Superior, Fr. Rostand, is requesting special prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary on this day through recitation of all 15 decades of the Rosary.

As this day will also happen to be the First Friday for October, Fr. Rostand encourages all who can to spiritually assist the SSPX by fulfilling that day's devotions to the Sacred Heart—attendance at the votive Mass and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

THE
RIVER
OF
BLUE

Between my fingers
Flow blue beads
Praying for all
Not wants but needs.

Desiring good
For all that trespass
Against our souls
Bank beads of blue glass…

Against our being
We stiffen and rail -
Rapids of beads
Bleed blue-anger pale.

And though we're wounded
Misjudged and wronged…
The river of blue
Is her Immaculate song.

St. Pius X pray for us!

Let us also ask for St. Francis's intercession that Pope Benedict XVI not attend Assisi-III.

I can think of no better task than to offer the complete Rosary and Mass on that day for the Reconciliation.

Too many close to the Society are well aware of Fellay's rosary ruses that lack specific goals other than his personal ambition and that of that 'snake in the grass' Fr. Pluger ... we are back again in sell-out territory with the rank and file hopefully in a hostile mood .....

Rosary ruses? You've got to be kidding. Lack specific goals? How about asking for the Holy Spirit to guide their actions? Is that not specific enough for you?

I will pray the 15 mysterious. My Mass attendance will be spiritual, at the nearest altar where a TLM is being celebrated.

Dear Alan Aversa, since the decision concerning Assisi III has been already made and pope has explained his arguments and reasons, as it was recently published in this blogpost (Roma locuta causa finita), I would suggest instead to ask for St. Francis's intercession that Benedict XVI would have the same courage to proclaim Jesus Christ and his Gospel as St. Francis had when he traveled to sultan to convert him to Christianity. I do believe that pope will clearly declare the only way to salvation through Christ, who is way, truth and life. Yet our prayers are absolutely necessary in this.

Hail, Mary, Virgin Theotokos full of grace; the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, for you have borne Christ, the Savior and Deliverer of our souls. (Byzantine form of the Angelic Salutation.)

Through the prayers of the most holy Theotokos, may the SSPX be restored to full, regular, and visible reconciliation with the Holy See.

They will ask for clarifications, if they haven't done yet. And then agree to 'return'. I know because I've been there and the sun were shining bright.

I look forward to one day going to St. Michael the ArchAngel on Long Island one day...I pray for the CHurch and the SSPX. I think they were handled brutally with all the other abuses that have gone on in the Church. That said I also think they must put it behind them and come help the Church. I believe this Holy Father is truly on their side and in a difficult position. But he has done much. More than I ever expected in my lifetime. Inside the Church I know the SSPX will do that much more for the Faithful.

I will be praying with all my heart.

Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known in any age, that anyone who fled to Thy protection, implored Thy help or sought Thy intercession was abandoned. Inspired by this confidence, therefore I fly to Thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To Thee do I come, before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Do not, O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise my prayers, but graciously hear and grant them. Amen.

I will pray the rosary but will have to attend the mass spiritually. This the most densely populated county in Florida and south of New Jersey, doesn't have even one daily TLM and I don't have an hour to drive to Sarasota during the work week. This is precisely why the rosary needs to be said!

Rank and file of what, Oliver?

There are no lay members of SSPX, which presents itself as a clerical society.

Nor is it a church sui juris in the Catholic Church (as are the Eastern Catholic Churches, mistakenly called "rites" by some people) or even a personal ordinariate.

Most holy Theotokos, save us!
