Rorate Caeli

Felix Roma!

"Roman Church: it is, one can truthfully say, the name of service of the Divine Church, her name of humility, lent to a piece of land, because, in order to save the world, it was necessary for her to know all humiliations of time and space." As Cardinal Journet recalled, the Lord himself chose this apparent humiliation of subjecting His Church to time and space and placing her under the government of Saint Peter and his successors.

In our seasonal header above, we celebrate the amazement of Saint Francis and his companions as they see the Mother of all Churches, the Lateran Basilica. The amazement of pilgrims who know that the ordinary act of pilgrimage includes the extraordinary acknowledgment of the special nature of time and space was repeated today for thousands of participants of the Traditional Catholic pilgrimage to Rome, commemorating the Year of Faith and the fifth anniversary of Summorum Pontificum in union with the Holy Father, with a Mass celebrated by Cardinal Cañizares, Prefect of Divine Worship, in the Vatican Basilica - images, comments, and videos provided by our friends of The Remnant at their Facebook page

Congratulations to Fr. Barthe, Thomas Murphy, and, through them, all clergy and laymen involved in this successful pilgrimage.
