“Upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed guardsmen. All the day and all the night long, they will not hold their peace from praising the Name of the Lord.” (Antiphon from the Benedictine Breviary)

“Without monasteries, without the examples of the contemplative religious consecrated to the continual praise of God, the Church will never recover from the present crisis. In order to traverse this present crisis, there must be more monasteries, more souls willing to devote their whole life to prayer and intercession.” - Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre

As an Oblate of one of the few thoroughly traditional monasteries out there, this video is quite a gift. It's very affirming of my small vocation. Thanks so much for posting it.

It's good to see you back, and please know that you and your mom both remain very much in my prayers.

I was struck by what one of the brothers said:

"Quebec had its Quiet Revolution. A revolution that had very little light."

Thanks to RC for sharing this very moving video.

Thank you for this video! There is so much to be learned from the beauty of the monastic life. It gave me peace of soul, knowing that Our Lord is still worshiped as He should be.
