You report: Philadelphia High Mass celebrating 3rd anniversary of Summorum Pontificum

At 7 p.m. on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (Tuesday, September 14), St. Paul’s Church, Christian Street in Philadelphia, will host a Solemn High Traditional Latin Mass followed by a procession and benediction of the Relic of the True Cross.

The guest preacher will be Fr. Andrew McCormick, pastor of Sacred Heart Polish Parish in Swedesburg. The musical ordinary will be Thomas Tallis' "Mass for four voices." This Mass will be to celebrate the third anniversary of the implementation of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, which restored the rights of all priest to say the Traditional Latin Mass. Since then, St. Paul's has a weekly High Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation.
