Rorate Caeli
First Rorate Caeli Purgatorial Society listing of enrolled souls ...

Thanks to our incredible readers, there was a tremendous response to the erection of this Society, as is evident with the length of the list of souls below. While I would have preferred to make this listing "prettier," work, children and the difference in the way the names were submitted made it nearly impossible. My apologies for the sloppiness, please forgive me. And, please note, you may start sending me new names at any time -- all names received after this posting today will be posted next Friday.

While we pray for these souls, let us also pray for the FIVE holy priests who have offered to say regular Traditional Latin Masses for the enrolled souls of this Society -- gratis.

The first Mass took place today at 11 a.m. Central European Time. A second Mass will occur later today. Then one tomorrow and one on Wednesday. So far, we have at least three weekly Masses (every Friday and Saturday and a random day of the week) and one monthly. Let us pray for these priests as well, each time, every time, we pray for these souls.

And let's keep it simple for those who do not have an abundance of time:

"For all the souls enrolled in the Rorate Caeli Purgatorial Society, may eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, may their souls and the souls of all the Faithful departed rest in peace. Amen."

Then ...

Eternal God,
please bless our priests,
who are selflessly saying Masses for this Society.
Make them more greatly aware of the grace
that You pour out through them
when they minister the sacraments,
and help them to fall more deeply in love with You
after each and every Mass that they celebrate.
Please strengthen our priests,
who shepherd Your flock,
when they are in doubt of their faith,
that they may be examples of Your Truth
and guide us always on the path to You.
We ask these things of You, our Eternal Priest.

I just want to confirm that Holy Mass was indeed offered today at 11 a.m. (CST) for all the Holy Souls listed here. Requiescant in pace!

And thank you again Father!

We also just found out that a sixth holy priest will say a TLM next week.

God has surely blessed this effort. Thank you everyone!

Thank you and may God richly bless you for taking this on.

I will happily be praying the proscribed prayers and also include the society and priests in my rosary and mass intentions.

Chris Thank you for praying for us priests who will offer the TLM for the Purgatorial Society. I am deeply indebted; I need prayer from all sectors more than I can say!
I love the Holy Souls so very much;
it is indeed a privilege and honor to participate in this great initiative.
Bless you! Mary Keep you!

This is an excellent idea.

It is interesting that they are very few priests named on the list. How many priests are in purgatory with no-one to pray for them.

I would like to add:

My grand-uncle Fr William "Bill" Cooney VF
Fr Peter Latham late PP of St Joseph's, Wembley
and Fr Kevin Greene, late Curate of the same Parish.

It would also be great to see a cheap reprint of the Officium Defunctorum perhaps bound up with an Ordo Missae and Little Office BVM. (Hint to an publishers out there - pocket book size please)

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

God bless you always.

To help our our generous compiler of names, I urge you all putting names in your comments to email them in the correct format given in the first post instead so Mr. Paulitz is not forced to spend time scanning comments for names here and there.

Jacob, thank you for pointing that out.

I have enrolled all the souls that were mentioned here.

However, in the future, please email them to my address. You will find that in my profile.
