Almost five years ago, we reported the amazing story of an Italian priest in Brazil, responsible for a foundation dedicated to AIDS patients, who not only advocated the use of condoms but actually included graphic information of the use of that contraceptive device in his foundation's website (and God only knows what kinds of educational material were actually available in the foundation's premises, since it was so willing to flaunt to the whole world wide web its disrespect for Church doctrine and general modesty).
Now, after years of this scandalous situation, Italian news agency ANSA reports (in Spanish, tip and image: Secretum Meum Mihi) that Father Valeriano Paitoni was "transferred" back to his native Italy. The report mentions that his congregation, the Missionaries of the Consolata, denies that Paitoni's scandalous advocacy had any relation with his transferral - yet, the same report mentions that "the transferral was decided by the General Direction, that is [located] in Rome, and had been discussed with Father Paitoni since May 2009." It does not sound like Paitoni was very willing to go...
