After referring to the report by German weekly Der Spiegel and by Le Figaro on the Rome-SSPX relations, the German District of the Society of Saint Pius X released the following comment this evening:
Currently, neither the [SSPX] General House in Menzingen [Switzerland] nor Rome have yet delivered a statement. Along with Der Spiegel and Le Figaro, the mainstream media organizations have released rushed speculation regarding the outcome of the talks.
Pius.info [the website of the German District] will keep you updated on these important developments for the Society and for the whole Catholic Church.
We wish to reiterate the recent call of the Superior General:
May the faithful be so kind as to offer one holy communion for this intention. May they make fully their own, in thought and in deed, the prayer that Our Lord asked us to address to our heavenly Father: Sanctificetur nomen tuum, adveniat regnum tuum, fiat voluntas tua sicut in caelo et in terra; hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
