Cardinal Piacenza: Vatican II documents "to be read on one's knees"

"[I]t is necessary to rediscover the texts of the Council, it is necessary to rediscover the very words of the Council, because they are to be read on one's knees*!...because it is an event of the Holy Spirit."

Cardinal Piacenza, Prefect of the Congregation for Clergy, in an interview to Vatican Radio. Considering that the Council documents are over 140,000 words long,** we do not think it is advisable to read them on a kneeling position.
