Solemn Mass (1962 Missal): in honor of a great priest and pro-lifer and in the presence of a Cardinal

Msgr. Foy is 98 years old and apparently the first priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto to celebrate his 75th anniversary as a priest. He is best known for his untiring defense of Catholic teachings on human life, marriage and the family, and especially for his public and repeated criticism of the infamous "Winnipeg Statement". That statement by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops has never been officially withdrawn or explicitly repudiated by that same body, which makes Cardinal Collins' presence in this Mass more significant. (The Cardinal will also preach at the Mass.)

Some of Msgr. Foy's writings can be found here and here. Lifesite News has a short biography
