Bishop Huonder celebrating Mass
In these difficult times for bishops friendly to Tradition, it is always a source of inspiration and joy when some members of the episcopate display friendly and fatherly concern for communities attached to Tradition. We are happy to relay the news of the visit of His Excellency Vitus Huonder, Bishop of Chur in German-speaking Switzerland, to the International Seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.
According to the news presented on the seminary blog, Bishop Huonder celebrated Mass and gave a talk about the upcoming Synod on the Family. Refer to the website of the Wigratzbad seminary for more pictures.
Also, let us keep in our prayers Bishop Huonder since he has had his share of turmoil in his own diocese notably from a group of laymen critical of his administration as too "clerical". It goes without saying that this movement is certainly encouraged by some liberal priests and even by other progressive members of the Swiss episcopate.
