Pope Leo XIV appointed today Archbishop Carlo Roberto Maria Redaelli, hitherto archbishop of Gorizia, Italy, as secretary of the Dicastery for the Clergy.
Redaelli is an old enemy of the old Mass -- as our friends of the Italian blog Messa in Latino reported in 2018, he was already then leading a group of Italian Bishops against Summorum Pontificum (the 2007 motu proprio of Benedict XVI that liberalized the Traditional Latin Mass and brought peace to the liturgical wars), calling it a "wrong decision."
Francis ended up abrogating Summorum Pontificum with the violent and illegitimate motu proprio Traditionis custodes, of 2021, whose ultimate aim is to gradually extinguish the Traditional Mass.
