For the first time in Poland since the liturgical reforms, a sacerdotal ordination according to the traditional Roman Rite took place on Sunday, June 5, 2011, in Krakow, when Bishop Tadeusz Pieronek ordained Fr. Marek Grabowski FSSP. (Source: Nowy Ruch Liturgiczny)
There is an FSSP-maintained morning TLM from Monday to Saturday in Wawel Cathedral in Krakow, plus two Sunday TLM's in the Holy Cross Church of the same city.
Fr. Grabowski is the fourth FSSP priest to be ordained this year. George Cardinal Pell ordained Fr. Damon Sypher in St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney on May 5 while two priests were ordained by Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz in the FSSP seminary in Nebraska on May 21. Nine FSSP members so far have received diaconal ordination this year: five were ordained on March 19 in the FSSP seminary in Denton by Bishop Czeslaw Kozon of Copenhagen and another four were ordained on May 29 in Wigratzbad by Bishop Marc Aillet of Bayonne.

Congratulations to Fr. Grabowski!
Laudetur Jesus Christus!
Brick by brick.
pics and video of the US seminary priestly ordinations are on the news page at www.fsspolgs.org
On 2nd July 2011 are the priestly ordinations in Wigratzbad by E. Jean-Pierre Bernard Cardinal Ricard, Bordeaux
That appears to be the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul at the south end of the Old Town of Krakow - a beautiful Jesuit Baroque church (un-wreckovated) well worth your time if you're in town. An interesting choice for the ordination - but a fitting one.
It's remarkable how much progress there has been for the traditional mass in Krakow since the motu proprio - a far cry from what it was before. Hearty congratulations to Fr. Grabowski - may he be the just the latest of many vocations to come dedicated to the traditional mass in Poland. Sto lat!
When Ignacio de Loyola started the Jesuits he only had 10 priests in 1541, yet he sent forth St. Francis Xavier and another one off to Goa, India. I mention this because we must hope the FFSP will disperse their priests as Chaplains for TLM far and wide with missionary zeal. Dedicated parishes with two or three priests in residence would be nice, but now we must spread the forma extraordinaria far and wide. Spread thinly if you like, but stimulating bishops and diocesan priests to do their duty. TLM cannot be restored by one small order alone. This task is urgent as it has to be done while Benedict XVI is with us. Long live Benedict XVI, the Pope-teacher that is renewing Christendom!
Well done FSSP, keep up the good work.
How many SSPX ordinations this year..??
@Crouchback - 4 in Winnona and 4 in Zaitzkoften, Don't know how many in Econe. In Argentina I think 2 and Australia 0.
As for me, I am intersted how many entries are in seminaries of all kinds of tradi-movement.
