July 27-August 2
For priests, seminarians, and religious (male and female).
The program is called Veterum Sapientia, named after the Apostolic Constitution Saint John XXIII signed on the high altar of St. Peter's defending and promoting the study of Latin by seminarians.
Our instructors are Msgr. Dan Gallagher of the Vatican Latin office and Dr. Nancy Llewellyn of Wyoming Catholic College, Dr. John Pepino of Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary (FSSP), and Dr. Gerald Malsbary of Belmont Abbey College.
It is intended for intermediate to advanced students of Latin, the minimum being two semesters of seminary Latin. It will also be conducted entirely in Latin (or almost, depending on the skill level of participants).
Through activities, conversation, and games the full-immersion experience helps reading comprehension and one's overall command of the language exponentially. Cost is $250. Boarding is $25/night for a BAC dorm room. You will find more information here. E-mail for contacts is firstname.lastname@example.org.
